Joseph Di Fonzo
Physiotherapist, founder (leaside, stouffville)
Over the past ten years, Joseph has honed a treatment skill-set focused on addressing the root causes of his patient's problems.
Joseph's decision to become a physiotherapist was driven by his love for two things: sports and helping people, and even after a decade in the field, these passions remain unchanged. The most rewarding aspect of his job is the relationships he has built with his patients.
Joseph’s approach involves a combination of manual therapy, electroacupuncture, and exercise. In his assessment process, Joseph delves into various aspects, asking questions about the forces exerted on the body, the frequency and duration of such forces, past injuries, and contributing factors to the problem.
By piecing together the answers to these questions, Joseph constructs a narrative surrounding the injury or pain problem, with a key emphasis on understanding the "why" behind the pain. This clarity informs a more targeted and effective treatment approach, and Joseph collaborates closely with his patients in solving this puzzle.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Joseph enjoys spending time with his family. An avid outdoors enthusiast, he dedicates his summer free time to playing golf and exploring new lakes for fishing. At the heart of Joseph's life is his son, who has reignited his passion for sports through the exploration of various activities.
Joseph looks forward to the opportunity to assist others in moving, feeling, and performing better each day.
